Первые нетбуки с двухъядерными мобильными процессорами

Корпорация Intel объявляет о начале продаж первых нетбуков, базирующихся на мобильных процессорах Intel Atom. С сегодняшнего дня, 23 августа, их начнут анонсировать Acer, Asustek, Fujitsu, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, MSI и другие производители. Об этом говорится в официальном сообщении.

Первые нетбуки будут комплектоваться двухяъдерным процессором Intel Atom N550, поддерживающим интерфейс оперативной памяти DDR3. Новый чип предложит такое же время автономной работы, что и одноядерный Atom N450, не требуя дополнительного пространства для отвода тепла.

Вместе с тем Atom N550 принесет более высокую скорость работы как в плане «отзывчивости» операционной системы, так и воспроизведения мультимедийного контента, включая веб-контент, созданный на основе Adobe Flash. В Intel ожидают, что с запуском новых процессоров спрос на нетбуки увеличится.

Семейство Atom до сегодняшнего дня включало двухъядерные процессоры для настольных систем, сетевых накопителей и других устройств. Atom N550 является первым чипом с двумя вычислительными ядрами, предназначенным именно для нетбуков.
